Cork-based clinical trials company Atlantia Food Clinical Trials is to undertake a study aimed at tacking osteoarthritis, one of the most prevalent diseases facing the Irish population.
The company is recruiting
osteoarthritis sufferers in the Cork area to take part in trials surrounding the effect of a raspberry extract on reducing symptoms in the knee and the effect of natural fish extracts.
“Over 30% of all GP visits in Ireland relate to arthritic conditions, so finding ways to alleviate pain for sufferers is crucial,” said director Barry Skillington.
